Project Overview

Project Overview

JoyPixels is a globally recognized emoji design studio providing high-quality emoji and icon packs used by leading brands such as Dropbox, Grammarly, Zoom, and McDonald’s. Their vibrant, expressive emoji sets are licensed for use across digital products, advertising campaigns, and branded merchandise — making them one of the most trusted providers in the world of visual communication.

JoyPixels came to Good Fight Creative to reimagine their digital presence — transforming their website into a more modern, scalable, and product-driven experience that could serve both enterprise clients and individual designers. The goal: create a joyful, premium web experience that matches the quality of their product.

Partnering with Good Fight Creative was a game-changer for the JoyPixels brand. We needed more than just a new website — we needed a complete design overhaul across our ecosystem, from the marketing site to our web app and Chrome extension. Jesse and his team brought a deep understanding of UI/UX and delivered a cohesive, modern design language that feels fresh without losing the personality that makes JoyPixels iconic. The new site is clean, lightning fast, and built to scale. They also helped us establish a strong design system that carries through every touchpoint of the product family. It’s rare to find a team that can move between marketing and product design with this level of consistency and craft.

Problem Statement

Problem Statement

Despite JoyPixels’ strong reputation and recognizable brand assets, their website experience hadn’t kept pace with the sophistication of their clients. The site lacked clarity around product tiers, licensing models, and the sheer breadth of their emoji catalog.

They needed a design system and digital storefront that:

  • Presented their emoji sets with impact and precision.

  • Simplified complex licensing options into clear tiers for individuals, teams, and enterprises.

  • Aligned their playful, expressive visual language with a polished, professional presentation.

  • Improved accessibility and speed for global users.

Essentially — a design refresh that could scale as beautifully as their emoji library.

Process/Methodology

Process/Methodology

We began with a full audit of JoyPixels’ existing site architecture, identifying pain points in navigation, messaging, and conversion flow. Then we rebuilt the experience around three guiding principles:

  1. Playful Precision – preserve the whimsy of emoji while presenting it through a modern, grid-based layout that feels trustworthy for business clients.

  2. Clarity Over Complexity – create a simple licensing and pricing flow that instantly communicates value.

  3. Visual Hierarchy and Motion – introduce subtle animation and depth to showcase emoji detail while keeping the UI lightweight and fast.

Using Figma for design and Framer for prototyping, we established a flexible component system that could easily scale across pages and future releases. We collaborated closely with JoyPixels’ internal team to refine every detail — from hover states and animations to typography and layout rhythm — ensuring that the end result felt equally delightful and reliable.

Implementation

Implementation

The redesign focused on both form and function:

  • Homepage: Hero headline repositioned around the core message: “Stunning emojis for product growth.” Interactive cards highlight real-world use cases — Zoom, Dropbox, Grammarly — bringing credibility and context to the product.

  • Product Pages: A new gallery system presents emojis in both dark and light environments with hover magnification for detail.

  • Pricing & Licensing: Rebuilt from scratch to clearly communicate the difference between Free, Premium, Pro, and Enterprise tiers — each supported with visual cues and tier badges.

  • CMS Integration: Content structures were optimized for scalability, making it easy for the JoyPixels team to upload new versions and promotional assets.

  • Brand Consistency: Color palette, typography, and spacing were unified to reflect their distinctive aesthetic — playful but professional.

  • Responsive Design: Every component was optimized for mobile and tablet, maintaining brand integrity across all devices.

Results/Outcomes

Results/Outcomes

The new JoyPixels.com positions the brand as both the authority in emoji design and a modern digital product company.
It elevated trust with enterprise buyers, improved browsing speed and clarity for individual users, and provided a framework for future content and releases.

Key outcomes:

  • Streamlined user flows reduced friction between discovery and purchase.

  • Brand perception elevated to align with major global clients.

  • Licensing inquiries and product downloads increased within the first month of launch.

  • The internal team now has a scalable system to maintain and expand their content with ease.
